Louise McLeod Butler, 90, wife of 68 years of the late William J. Butler Sr., died Monday, January 30, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Columbia, SC.
Born in Sumter, February 13, 1926, she was the daughter of David McLeod and Irene Avins McLeod.
Mrs. Butler was a retired SC DSS employee. She was a long time member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Jean Frierson of Columbia, SC, and son, William J. Butler Jr. of North Charleston, SC, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Thursday at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Fraser officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11a.m. to 12 noon Thursday at the church.
