Obituary of Jodeil Baker Altman

Daisy Jodeil Baker Altman, 91, widow of James Wyatt Altman, died Friday, May 26, 2017 at National Healthcare Center.  

 

Born in Kingstree, she was a daughter of the late Lee Alexander Baker and Elizabeth Cordelia Gardner Baker.

 

Mrs. Altman was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

 

Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Altman; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Branham (Vic), Jessica Altman (Brett) all of Sumter and Jason Altman of Saltillo, MS; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Branham Crawford (Allan), Cameron Wyatt Branham, Spencer Loyd Mooneyham, Hannah Kate Branham, and Margaret Elizabeth Mooneyham; two great-great-grandchildren, Camden Lee Crawford and Paisley Kate Crawford.  

 

She was preceded in death by two sons, James Lee Altman and Benny Wyatt Altman.

 

The family would like to express their deep appreciation and love to her special niece and caregiver, Jane Baker Hanes and her husband, Bob of Sumter.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday at Bethel United Methodist Church, Oswego, with Rev. Jeremy Howell officiating.

 

Burial will be in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends 2 P.M. Sunday prior to the service at the church and other times at the home, 3095 Leonard Brown Road.
