Obituary of Eloise Timmons

Alice Eloise Dickerson Timmons, 92, widow of Billy Eugene Timmons, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at McElveen Manor.

 

Born June 16, 1924, in Olanta, she was a daughter of the late Isadore Dickerson and Ernestine Gibbons Dickerson.

 

Mrs. Timmons was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church.

 

Surviving are her children, Isadore E. “Gene” Timmons (Colleen), Carolyn Timmons Hunt (Donald), Donna Timmons Coker (Jerry), Richard Timmons (Debra), David “Punk” Timmons (Ann) and Glen “Pebo” Timmons (Susie); a sister, Dorothy Zeek; 20 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Dickerson; two sisters, Elma Dickerson Brown and Betty Dickerson Leonard; a grandson, Stephen Hunt; two great-grandchildren, Parrish Coker II and Anna Coker; and two great-great-grandchildren, Eden Coker and Mason Coker.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Tanner officiating.

 

Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Friday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
