Obituary of Raymond Mitchell Callen, Sr.

Raymond Mitchell “Mitch” Callen, Sr., 57, died Friday, June 30, 2017, at his home in Lexington.

 

Born in Sumter, he was a son of Eleanor Jean Geddings Callen and the late Gene Theron Callen.

 

Mr. Callen was retired from Nunnery Roofing & Remodeling Company.

 

Surviving are his mother of Sumter; a daughter, Heather Martin (Chris) of West Columbia; a son, Raymond Mitchell Callen, Jr. (Ashley) of Lexington; a brother, Glenn Callen of Sumter; a sister, Betsy Avant of Beaufort and five grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Thursday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. David Richardson officiating.

 

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 P.M. Thursday prior to the service at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
