James “Jimmy” William Ingram, 74, husband of Lauriette Elkins Ingram, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at his home.

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Alva Ingram, Jr. and Corrine McLeod Ingram.

Mr. Ingram was retired from Santee Print Works.

Surviving are his wife of Pinewood; one son, Brad Ingram of Pinewood; one brother, Rev. Floyd Ingram of AL; three sisters, Sara Gleaton of Orangeburg, Bessie Hooker of Hilda, Ruth Gardner of Orangeburg; his brother-in-law, Jamie Sanders of Hampton.

Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday at Pinewood Cemetery with Rev. Floyd Ingram officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 198 E. Wesmark Blvd. Suite 2, Sumter, SC 29150.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice, his CNA Georgia Davis and Nurse Meredith Myers.
