Jerry Edward Tennant Sr., 68, husband of the late Mary Strickland Tennant, died Friday, March 23, 2018 at Palmetto Health Tuomey.

 

Jerry was born in Manning, to the late Ernest and Eunice Bryant Tennant.

 

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Gladden (Anthony) of Sumter; two sons, Jerry Tennant Jr. (Sheryce) of Sumter and Raymond Tennant (Michelle) of Sumter; a brother; two sisters; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

 

In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, Michael Tennant.

 

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, in the chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Reverend Lynwood Collins officiating.

 

The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
