Billie Earle Boatwright, 86, widow of Harry Austin Boatwright, joined her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 2, 2015. Born in Marion, she was the daughter of the late Willie Edward Earle and Nell Baxley Earle. She was a member of Wise Drive Baptist Church, where she enjoyed many years of fellowship, Sunday school and bible study. Survivors include sons, Harry T. Boatwright (Linda) of St. George and Michael Earle Boatwright of Mt. Pleasant; daughter, Gaye Boatwright Eaves (Jimmy) of Sumter; grandchildren, Jason Sean Gardiner (Susan) of El Dorado, KS, Amanda Boatwright Reeder (Robbie) of Goose Creek, Sarah Eaves Smith (Jonathan) of Sumter, Juliee Ann Boatwright of North Charleston, Christopher James Eaves of Mt. Pleasant, and Michael Brett Eaves (Sara) of Columbia; nine great-grandchildren and a special friend and adopted sister, Libby Lane. She loved crocheting, reading and participating in activities at National Health Care. Most of all, she fiercely loved her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother and doting great-grandmother. A very special thank you to National Health Care of Sumter and to the amazing staff who loved her unconditionally and made her life there feel like home. There are too many outstanding folks to list, but special love to Nicole Kidd and Stephanie Williams, both of whom were involved in her daily care and whom she claimed as daughters and to Connie Bell, from NHC who stood in as surrogate daughter and checked on her daily. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wise Drive Baptist Church with the Reverend Dearld Sterling officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Wise Drive Baptist Church and other times at the home of her daughter, 1110 Antlers Court. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion, SC at 2 p.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to Wise Drive Baptist Church Youth Ministry, 2751 Wise Drive, Sumter, SC 29150.
