Bruce Michael Tucker, 63, died Friday, January 29, 2021 at his home. Born in Manning, he was a son of the late William James Tucker and the late Ratha Mae Richburg Tucker. Mr. Tucker was the shop foreman for the Sumter school bus shop where he retired with 32 years. Mike started blacksmithing as a hobby in the late 1990's with the Philip Simmons Blacksmith Guild and served as the Guilds president for a few years. He specialized in Damascus Steel knives, axes, Ornamental Gates and Railings for houses, flowers and many ornamental metal pieces. Surviving: his significant other Laura Jean Cardello; 3 daughters, Olivia Jean Cardello Tucker, Adriann Garrett and Haley Saegjunt; 5 granddaughters Bentley, Isabella, Emily, Kendall and Sloan; 3 grandsons Kevin, Matthew and Joshua; very close family members; Patrick Niswonger (Rebecca), Aaron Niswonger (Donna) and Shanna Dixon; one sister Emma Jean Joyner (Jerry) of Alcolu. He was preceded in death by; three brothers, Dan Raymond Richburg, James Luther Tucker and Jessie Thomas Tucker; three sisters, Gracie Geraldine Tucker, Shirley Bryant and Laura Sims. The family will receive friends from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. Saturday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at his home.
