Obituary of Huey Kirby, II

Ellie Hue Kirby, II, 58, died Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Sumter, he was a son of Catherine “Kitty” Peebles Kirby and the late Ellie Hue Kirby, Sr. Mr. Kirby was a retired Journeyman Lineman with Coastal Power & Electric Company. Surviving are three daughters, Tiffany Ketchum (Shawn), Kimi Baker, and Rachel Burrows; one son, Caleb Burrows; two sisters, Carol Kirby Griffin and Kathy Brown (Raymond); 11 grandchildren, Briana, Kaitlyn, Layla, Alyvia, Ellie, Sara, Owen, Colin, Londyn, Kyro, Sophia; 2 great-grandchildren, Callie and Raven. Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, July 17, 2021, in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Huggins officiating. Burial will be in the Bethany Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Timmonsville, SC. The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Friday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
