Obituary of Kongkeo Phaysith
Please share a memory of Kongkeo to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kongkeo “Bill” Phaysith, 52, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend on Thursday, April 17, 2025. He left us unexpectedly, but we take comfort knowing that his journey continues in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Though his time here was far too short, his impact and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Bill was the kind of man who lit up every room with his smile, humor, and warmth. He was a man of unwavering faith, a devout Catholic who made it a priority to raise his children with strong values, love for God, and involvement in both church and community. His strength was his quiet leadership, always leading with love, purpose, and devotion.
A true family man, Bill was a pillar of strength to his wife, Kathreen Phaysith, and a hero to his children: Dominic, Sophia, and Lucas Phaysith, and to his sons Justin and Preston Phaysith. Whether it was cheering on the Seahawks — his forever team — coaching his kids in soccer, singing karaoke with family, or casting a line while fishing, he lived fully in every moment. He believed in showing up, in being present, in making memories, and he did so with passion and joy.
He worked hard and loved harder — a man of integrity, loyalty, and humility. He gave “his all” to his work, his home, and his community. He inspired those around him to live with kindness, dedication, and love.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathreen Phaysith, and their children Dominic, Sophia, and Lucas, and sons Justin and Preston. He is also deeply mourned by his parents, Oudum and Sanam Inthathirath, and his beloved parents-in-law, Allan and Venus Capuno. He leaves behind his siblings: Bernadette Phaysith, Rassany Chanthakhot, Steve Phaysith, Phayvanh Phaysith, Khanthong Phaysith, Nyphone Inthathirath, Teresa Chanthavone Ries, and their families — all of whom shared a bond of love and laughter with him.
He will be lovingly remembered by his many uncles, aunties, nephews, nieces, friends, and extended family — all whose lives he touched with his generosity, heart, and spirit.
Though we are heartbroken, we trust in God’s plan. We will carry his memory with us — in the songs we sing, the games we watch, the faith we practice, and the love we give. His spirit lives on in every sunset on the lake, every soccer game cheered, and every laugh shared at home.
Rest in peace, our beloved. You were truly one of a kind.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 A.M. Friday at St. Anne & St. Jude Roman Catholic Church with Father Ronie Lorcha CRM officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. Thursday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
