When our family moved to Sumter in 1983, Linda and Bert welcomed us “northern (Illinois) refugees”. She was always friendly, good-humored, and caring to us. That means a lot to all of us, particularly newcomers to the community. In 1993, we moved to Deerfield, and shortly thereafter, Nancy and Perrin Cromer moved in across the street from us. Then we met “the beautiful foursome” of Linda and Bert’s granddaughters:
Nancy Hayes, Virginia, Perrin Marie, and Rebecca. Linda was blessed with a wonderful family. They’ll be reunited with her someday in the Church Triumphant!
