Obituary of Lillie McCoy

Lillie Geddings McCoy, 80, widow of Derral Pete McCoy, died Thursday, May 22, 2025, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Curtis Geddings and Annie Margaret Hinson Geddings. Mrs. McCoy was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, Daren Griffin (Paula), Kevin Griffin and Tracy Griffin; a stepson, Derral McCoy (Joette); a stepdaughter, Melissa McCoy; two brothers, Wayne Geddings and Michael Geddings; four sisters, Polly Hill, Dianne Parnell, Betty Lynn Ardis, Bobbie Jean Strickland; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Matthews; three sisters, Dorothy Geddings, Shirley Avins and Susie Brown. Graveside Services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Morris and Rev. Kenny Griffin officiating.
