Obituary of James R. Griffin, Jr.

James Robert “Bobby” Griffin, Jr. 73, husband of Trevia Floyd Griffin, died Sunday, June 8, 2025, at National Healthcare Center. Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late James Robert Griffin, Sr. and Etta Marie Avins Griffin. Mr. Griffin was a retired supervisor with Korn Industries. Surviving is his wife; three daughters, Traci Griffin Benna (Tony), Sylvia Griffin Lynch, and Jami Brooke Griffin (Donny Moore) and five grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, June 14, 2025, in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Bowman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery.
