Obituary of Charles Wayne Brown

Charles Wayne Brown, 72, husband of Brenda Kinney Brown, died Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born July 6, 1953, in Sumter. He was a son of the late Cooper W. Brown and the late Irene Brazell Brown. Mr. Brown was a retired elementary school teacher with the Sumter School District. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Michael Brown (Emma Wynn), Thomas Brown (Regina); a sister, Jane Lowery (Harold); and two grandchildren, Leni and Andy Brown. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in the Sumter Cemetery with the Rev. Paula Stover officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
