My heart goes out to the family. Howard and I were very close at Mayewood and were graduated together in 1960. He was blessed with integrity and intelligence. I have many fond memories of him.

Howard was a wonderful person! His words of wisdom and his faith were immeasurable! I worked with him at Voc Rehab for many years and we remained friends after he retired. I am definitely blessed to have known him! He will truly be missed! My heart is heavy, but I know he is in a better place with the Lord. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family and friends! He was one of a kind!

Howard was named for my dad and his uncle, Howard Simpson Amos, who was married to my mother Mary Hugh Fraser Amos. Howard’s parents were very close to my parents, and our family visited his family at the home place in Oswego for many years. Howard and I were great friends in high school. He was a kind, smart, hard working person, just like his namesake, my dad.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Howard. When I started working at Voc Rehab, Howard was one of the first people to offer words of wisdom and “survival techniques!” He ALWAYS kept it real! Howard was a mentor and a dear friend. He will truly be missed. May the special memories your family made together help you through this difficult time.
