Obituary of Lettie Mae Thompson

Lettie Mae Griffin Thompson, 88, died Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Lake Marion Nursing Home. Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Maxie Griffin and Jewel Avins Griffin. Surviving are a son, Richard Nicholes (Kimberly); three daughters, Debbie Nicholes Barwick (Steve), Sharon Nicholes Collins (Kenny) and Kim Nicholes Masotti (Bob); 10 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Nicholes Holladay and a son-in-law, Harry Holladay. Private burial will be held in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Bible Fellowship Church.
