Thomas Mimms was a friend, a co-worker, and a generous outdoorsman. He was proud of his heritage and his family's achievements. He liked nothing better than a good fishing or hunting story and willingly shared his knowledge and his hunting and fishing skills with many friends, including me. He and Tonya were frequently my overnight hosts during times I was working near Sumter and we were privileged to share meals with them and others at our home, their home or a neutral location (that had GOOD food). Thomas always had a ready story about sports and a wealth of hunting and fishing tales...mostly true...others----? He and I and another close sportsman friend, Trey, enjoyed some magnificent times chasing fish, birds, and following dogs. Even though health issues for the past several years have been a real challenge for him and Tonya, their friendship and our associations have never waned. Good bye, friend.
