Obituary of Floyd McRae Meadows

Floyd McRae Meadows, 84, husband of Jewel Hatfield Meadows, died Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital. Born in Daniels, WVA, he was a son of the late James Floyd Meador and Essie Lee Radford Meador. Mr. Meadows was a member of Northside Memorial Baptist Church and the retired owner and operator of Meadow Graphics. Surviving are his wife of Sumter; two daughters, Angela Meadows and Amy Robbins (Bryan) all of Sumter; four grandchildren, Perrin Thompson, Logan Thompson, Caitlyn Robbins Hensley, and Keira Robbins all of Sumter; one great-grandchild, Bella Hensley; one brother, Arnold Glenn Meadows; three sisters, Florence Redden of VA, Hazel Mudd and Ina Swartz both of MD; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two infant sisters, Mary Frances Meador and Betty Lou Meador; six sisters, Geneva “Nemo” Buckland, Rose Clark, Josie Stump, Prema Rich, Odessa Meador, and Ruby Meadows; two brothers, Roy Lee Meadows and Ricky Meador. The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. to 12 Noon Friday, October 24, 2025, prior to the service at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Friday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Letitia Miller officiating. Burial will be in the St. John Methodist Church Cemetery, 4021 Springhill Road, Rembert, SC 29128.
