Ann Earley Hubbard, 84, left this earthly life for her eternal home in Heaven on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at her home.

Born in Orangeburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late James S. Earley and Salomie Craven Earley.

Ms. Hubbard was a member of Sumter Methodist Church.  She retired from the South Carolina Department of Health-Sumter County Health Department.

Ann was a devoted and dearly loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She exemplified with her life that it is better to give than to receive and rested in God’s love and promises her entire life.  A peacemaker, she always put the wants and needs of others above her own.

Surviving are two sons, Al Hubbard (Robin) and Phil Hubbard (Julie); two grandchildren, Zach Hubbard of Sumter and Seth Hubbard (Kelly) of Wake Forest, NC; a sister, Sue E. Plunkett; two nieces, Christy Barese (Eric) and Meghan Swann (Eddie) three great-nephews, Lukas, Jackson and Blake; one great-niece, Grace.

She was preceded in death by a half-sister, Carolyn E. Cummiskey; a niece, Ashley Fitch; and a brother-in-law, Jim Plunkett.

The family will receive friends at the home 2030 Tudor Street from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. Monday, November 17, 2025, and from 12 P.M. to 1 P.M. Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
