Obituary of Patsie Parker Shuler
Patsie Parker Shuler, 61, wife of Hoyt “Barry” Shuler, passed away, Sunday, January 11, 2026, at her home, after a long battle with cancer.
She was the daughter of the late O’Neal and Norma Mae Harrington Parker. Born in New Zion, SC, she graduated from Salem School and the University of South Carolina. She taught for five years in the Clarendon School System before finding her greatest love raising her two children.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Planning family vacations and trips to Edisto Beach brought her great joy.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years; her daughter, Megan Shuler; her son, Phillip Shuler (Madison); her granddaughter, Claire Elaine Shuler; her brother, Eddie Parker (Marilyn) and her sister-in-law, Shirley Parker.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Maxine Evans and her brother, Cleveland (Clevie) Parker.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Grace Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Williams officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Wednesday at Grace Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
