Born November 13, 1953 in Sumter. He was a son of the late John Raymond Dubose Sr. and Mary Bell Sawyer Dubose.
Surviving are his sister Barbara Dubose Hayden (Bret); two brothers Johnny Dubose and Tom Sawyer
