Marvin Peyton White Jr., lovingly known as Peyton, 80, passed away surrounded by those who cherished him most on Sunday, April 19, 2026. A devoted husband, brother, family member, and friend, Peyton leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and genuine love for others.

Peyton made his home in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and had deep roots in Lake Wales, Florida, where his great-grandfather was among the town’s founders.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Peyton White Sr., and his mother, Martha Louise White.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Emily Sharp White; his brothers, Norman White (Elaine), Stephen White (Wendy), Gregory White (Tammy), and Andy White; as well as many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Peyton built a career in the insurance industry, where he was widely respected for his integrity and dedication. He loved his church, loved Jesus Christ, and was a faithful member of Cameron Southern Methodist Church in Cameron, South Carolina. Known by many throughout Orangeburg and beyond, Peyton had a gift for connecting with others—he never met a stranger and was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His life was a testament to warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith. Though he will be deeply missed, Peyton’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
