Born in Elizabeth City, NC, she was a daughter of the late Russell W. Doxey and Sara Frances Mauldin.
Surviving are her husband; a son Michael Buckner (Stacy); a granddaughter Courteney Buckner; a grandson Caleb Michael Buckner; a sister Ann Shreck and a brother David Doxey.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Karol Doxey Bones.
