Obituary of Maria Esther Follin

WEDGEFIELD - Maria Esther Follin, 67, died Saturday, May 9, 2026, at her family’s residence.

Born Maria Esther Alcaraz-Noriega in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, she was a daughter of the late Maria Cecilia Noriega-Vega and Rodolfo Alcaraz-Ochoa.

Maria was a member of St. Anne and St. Jude Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving Maria are three children—a son: Herbert Thomas Follin Jr. (Christina) and two daughters: Miriam Denisse Miranda-Alcaraz, and Louise Mayte Follin—five brothers, five sisters, and five grandchildren—Michael, Kayla, Shaun, Hunter, and Travis.

Maria was preceded in death by her late husband, Herbert Thomas Follin Sr.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Friday, May 15, 2026, at St. Anne and St. Jude Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Nony Villaluz, CRM officiating.

Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery on W. Oakland Avenue.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home, with a Rosary service beginning at 6:30pm.

Her son and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
