Obituary of Mary Lucille Holland Riley

MAYESVILLE - Mary Lucille Holland Riley, 98, widow of William Alexander Riley, died Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Covenant Place.

Born February 2, 1928, in Kershaw, SC. She was the daughter of the late Willis Alonso Holland and Mary Alma West Holland. 

Mrs. Riley was a member of Mayesville Presbyterian Church and retired from Santee Print Works.

Surviving are a daughter, Billie Jean Watts (Bill Smith); a sister Julia Matthews; two grandchildren, Johnny Watts (Beth) and Tarrah Blayney; three great grandchildren, John Riley Watts, Delaney Ray Watts, and Morgan Blayney.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Donna Blayney; two son in laws, Forrest Blayney, Ray Watts; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Graveside Services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, June 17, 2026, in the Mayesville Black River Cemetery with the Rev. Brian Peake officiating.

Family will receive friends following the graveside in the Morrison Fellowship Hall at the Church. 

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Covenant Place and Amedisys Hospice for their loving care of Mrs. Riley.
