I’m Karleigh, Tammy’s great niece (via Shannon). Aunt Tammy was such a humble, sweet soul. And my Nans (Kathy) loved her some Tammy Baker! I remember when Nana would make red chicken stew and bring it over to Tammy’s house because it was one of her favorites. That same night I remember Amber letting me try on her fake earrings… They were blue and they dangled. It reminded me of the kind of jewelry my Nans would wear. I thought I was so grown wearing them, when in reality I was just a kid. Just a girl with her Nana, who was visiting her dear sister.
I remember years down the road when I was a bit older, sometime in middle school… my family lived at a horse park. It was indeed in the country. Hardly any signal… there was no store nearby really, and my family’s van just wasn’t doing very good. We fell on hard times. They say pressure makes diamonds however, so I knew God would make a way for us to be okay no matter what. He sent us an angel that week. That angel was Aunt Tammy. She didn’t even have a ride and found a way to bring us food so we didn’t go without. One thing about Aunt Tammy that I know was she would truly give you the shirt off of her back. She was very much so a giving person, and again so beyond sweet.
Fast forward to me as an adult, my Aunt Tammy came to my baby shower. It meant so much to me that she showed up alongside Aunt Sherri and Aunt Patti. They remind me so much of my Nans. Her spirit was there and I could sense it through the three of them. All in all… Aunt Tammy was thoughtful. She cared. She genuinely had a heart of gold, and in a lot of ways that reminds me of my Nans. And I just know that she and Grandma Pat were waiting for you with open arms Aunt Tammy. Although you will be missed, get your rest. Love you always.

I am Shannon Tammy‘s niece. My daughter (Karleigh) had a baby shower and aunt Tammy came, she couldn’t stay long but made an appearance and dropped off the gift.. It was very crowded, hardly a place to stand (mostly his family). Well it was time to open all the gifts, everyone standing around watching her open her gifts, designated person writing down what she got from who. When she got to the gift from Aunt Tammy… she opens it and loves it! Precious… then the mother-in-law says “Karleigh this is a dog outfit”. at that moment, everybody paused and Karleighs eyes got so big, she looked at me and her face was white as a ghost! she was lost for words. Maybe slightly embarrassed but knew at that moment she’d keep it forever. It was such a sweet and special moment. We will keep it forever because at the end of the day it was the thought that counts. Very special and sweet and so Aunt Tammy
