Obituary of Lillian Rabon Barwick

Lillian Rabon Barwick, 81, went home to Heaven and was reunited with her beloved husband of 60 years, Watson F. Barwick on Thursday, April 26, 2018.

 

Born in Elgin, she was a daughter of the late George Tillman Rabon and Annie Ray Rabon.

 

Mrs. Barwick was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.  She was a loving mother not only to her children but to everyone as she never met a stranger.  She was also a great friend and “hugger.” 

 

Surviving are one son, Robert David Barwick; three daughters, Jeannie (Doug C.) Morris, Betty (Jim) Smith and Ginger (Jimmy) Foisey all of Sumter; a sister, Vivian (Lewis) Atkinson of Ashwood; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; a dear friend, Helen Scott and her beloved dog, Gizmo.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday at Wise Drive Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Sammy Geddings and Dr. Larry Hummel officiating.

 

Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Doug Morris, Jamie Morris, Ronnie Morris, Aaron Foisey, Johnny Rabon, Lewis Atkinson and Lavan Atkinson.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Friday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 3780 Nazarene Church Road.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, P. O. Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502.
