Obituary of Helen Cato Boswell
Helen Cato Boswell, 88, of Covenant Place, widow of William Holland Boswell, Sr., died Monday, August 13, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey Hospital.
Born in Florence, she was a daughter of the late John B. Cato and Margaret Baker Cato.
Mrs. Boswell was a member of Alice Drive Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, William H. “Chip” Boswell, Jr. (Kathy) of Sumter; two daughters, Sandra B. Gilmer of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Debra “Debbie” B. Broome (Steve) of Sumter; four grandchildren, Stephen H. Broome, Jr., William Tyler Broome, William H. Boswell, III (Amanda), Cameron Willard Boswell (Sarah); and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Walt Phillips officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Wednesday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
