Richard G. Gazley, 82, husband of Patricia Janet Gazley, died Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia.
Born in Detroit, MI, he was a son of the late George Victor Gazley and Matilda Gunger Gazley.
Mr. Gazley was retired from Grand Trunk Western Railroad in Michigan and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of Dalzell; a son, Michael R. (Maria) Gazley of Dalzell; two daughters, Kelly Suzanne Dearing (Tom) of Goodrich, MI and Bonnie Lynn Hickman (Joey) of Manning; two sisters, Joanne Woodin of Traverse City, MI and Carol Hilley of AZ; 12 grandchildren, Bradley, Sarah and Katie Dearing, Nick, Austin and Jasmine Gazley, Myranda Gazley, Justin, Nolan and Alex Saffer, Breanne and Ashton Hickman; and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Victor Gazley and a grandson, Tyler Gazley.
Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM Monday in the Sumter Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Miller officiating.
