Obituary of Mark Edward Jordan

Mark Edward Jordan, 53 of Sumter, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021. Born March 7, 1968, he was the son of Helen Thames Jordan and the late Jack Chambers Jordan. Mr. Jordan was a member of Northside Memorial Baptist Church. He was a graduate of The University of South Carolina. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and cycle. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his two children. In addition to his mother, those surviving are one son, Evan Chambers Jordan of Sumter; one daughter, Emily Renee Jordan of Sumter; one sister, Susan Jordan Harvey and one nephew, Jeremy Randall Harvey both of Indian Trail, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Stephen Williams and Rev. Steve Shumake officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. Wednesday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of his mother, 744 Henderson Street.
