Obituary of Robert "Robbie" William Nunnery

Robert “Robbie” William Nunnery, 58, died Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia. Born in Sumter, he was a son of Robert Wayne Nunnery and Anna Geddings Nunnery. He was a roofing contractor with Robert W. Nunnery Roofing Company. He was a 1982 graduate of Sumter High School and attended Spartanburg Methodist College. Surviving are his parents of Summerton; a brother, Kevin Nunnery of Sumter; two sisters, Stacey Zimmer of Summerville and Johnna Johnson (Matt) of Manning; nieces and nephews, Brittany, Mary Grayson, Katelyn, Shelby, Harley; great-nieces and nephews, Brookelynn, Easton, Brynnleigh, Sadie, Ridge, Lakelyn, and Taylor. Robbie loved his family including his little dogs “BB” and “Dale” and they remained buddies until the end. He loved creating, drawing, painting and Carolina football. He always had a good joke and a funny story to tell. His family will forever have a void. Robbie was larger than life. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Friday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 3693 Beacon Drive. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
