Richard Talbot Shadoan, 96, died Thursday, May 26, 2022.
Born in Somerset, KY, he was a son of the late Luther Dodson Shadoan and Clarine Hayes Shadoan.
Mr. Shadoan was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. He was a retired U. S. Navy veteran with 21 years of service, a World War II and Korean War veteran and also served in the U. S. Marine Corps. He later retired as the owner and operator of Shadoan Blade and Key Shop.
He was twice married, first to the late Lois Marie Brost Shadoan and later to the late Florence A. Shadoan.
Surviving are 6 sons and 6 daughters, 38 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 2 sons and 2 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:00 P.M. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 216 E. Liberty St, Sumter with Father Ronie Lorcha officiating.
Burial with full military honors will be held in St. Lawrence Cemetery, 657 W. Oakland Ave. in Sumter.
