Joe Deal Driggers, 86, husband of Eloise Dennis Driggers, died Sunday, March 6, 2016, at his home. Born in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Sire Driggers and Vendell Olive Branch Miles Driggers. Mr. Driggers was a retired self-employed mechanice. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his wife of the home; a daughters, Joanne Crowson (Bruz) of Sumter; a brother, Rev. Elro Driggers (Nancy) of Scranton; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Dorothy Driggers and Kathy Driggers. He was preceded in death by two sons, Randall Driggers, Kenneth Driggers and numerous brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. James McElveen officiating. Burial will be in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 203 Myrtle Beach Highway.
