Obituary of David Allen York

David Allen York, 44 beloved husband of Monica Stevens York, died Tuesday, July 18th, 2017, at his home.

 

Born in Farmville, Virginia and raised in Blackstone, he was the son of Henry York and Carolyn Inge York.

 

Mr. York was employed as an engineer at Continental Tire Company. He was a Veteran who proudly served 15 years

 In the United States Air Force. He was a loving Husband, Father, Son and Friend. He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing

 and spending quality time with his Family.

 

Surviving are his loving wife of Sumter, his Father of Blackstone, VA; his Mother of Blackstone, VA; one son,

Wesley York; three daughters, Mikaela York, Jessica Johnson, and Shelby Sanders; one brother, Kevin “Bubba” York

of Blackstone, VA; one grandchild, Austin Sanders and a special nephew, Seth York.

 

The Family will receive friends from 3pm until 5pm Saturday, the 22nd of July at the Elmore Hill McCreight

Funeral Home.

 

Graveside Services will be in his hometown of Blackstone, Virginia; Saturday, July 29th at 3pm at Lakeview Cemetery,

with McMillian Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

 

The Family will receive friends after graveside service at Tri-County Eagles, VFW, 1746 Cox Rd, Blackstone, VA
