Obituary of Evelyn Murdaugh Rahn Moore

Evelyn Murdaugh Rahn Moore, 86, widow of Rev. Thomas Edward Moore, Jr., died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville.

 

Born in Islandton, SC, she was a daughter of the late O. H. Rahn and Marion Murdaugh Rahn.

 

Mrs. Moore was a member of Sumter Baptist Temple.  She was a retired owner and operator of Moore’s Enterprises. 

 

Surviving are three sons, Michael Edward Moore (Cathy) of Sumter; Richard Oliver Moore (Elaine) of Hartsville and Terry Jonathan Moore of Redwood City, CA; a daughter, Theresa Moore Beach (Jeff) of Lexington; a sister, Joan Rohrbach (Jerome) of Hiram, GA; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Richardson officiating.

 

Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Friday prior to the service at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, 1104 Sterling Street.
