Jon Wayne Green, 75, husband of Brenda Ardis Green, died Monday, March 26, 2018, at his home in Lynchburg.

 

Born in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Alvin Vernon Green and Norma Gertrude Hodge Green.

 

Mr. Green was a member of Mayesville Presbyterian Church.  He was the owner and operator of

J. Wayne Green Trucking Company.

 

Surviving are his wife of the home; one son, Jon Wayne Green, Jr. of Crestview, FL; two daughters, Ginger Green Seabrook (Johnny) of Charlotte, NC and Shannon Green Hawkins (Chris) of Sumter; two brothers, Donald Vernon Green (Carolyn) of Sumter and Jack Cornelius Green (Denise) of Turbeville; one sister, Mary Frances Green Webster (Carl) of Lynchburg; ten grandchildren, Brandon Shane Green (Taylor), Christen Hunter Hawkins, Lauren Haley Hawkins, John Lewis “Dru” Seabrook, IV, Hannah Green Seabrook, William Rivers Seabrook, Allston Wayne Seabrook, Gabrielle Mylee Green, Olivia Kay Green and Zoey Madison Green; and one great-grandchild, Samuel Gunner Green.

 

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Thursday at Christ Community Church with Rev. Mark Yoder officiating.

 

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M. Thursday at Christ Community Church.
