Obituary of Margaret Edwards Davis

Margaret Edwards Davis, 77, died Monday, May 14, 2018, at National Healthcare Center.

 

Born in Birmingham, AL, she was the daughter of the late Ottis Lee Edwards and Constance Harris Edwards.

 

Mrs. Davis was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church in St. Charles where she served as youth leader of “Young People” and she was known as “Ma”.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and she was known by her family as “Ma-Ma”. 

 

Surviving are two sons, Rusty Davis (Kelly) of Anderson and Jay Davis (Julene) of Bishopville; a daughter, Connie Munn (Rhett) of Sumter; seven grandchildren, Dr. Christopher Davis (Jeri), Jennifer Davis, Erika Collins, Taylor Munn, Elizabeth Munn, Mary Margaret Munn and Will Middleton (Taylor).

 

She was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Edwards.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday at Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church in St. Charles with Rev. Fred McDaniel officiating.

 

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Tuesday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Connie Munn, 1025 Foxridge Court.  

 

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
