Obituary of Lynda Baker Junkins

Lynda Baker Junkins, 66, wife of Dorsey Gail Junkins, Jr., died Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

 

Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Norman L. Baker and Vera Spencer Baker.

 

Mrs. Junkins was retired from Becton-Dickinson.

 

Surviving are her husband of Lamar; one son, Robert G. Junkins (Cristi) of Sumter; two brothers, Henry Ray Baker (Mary) and Pete Baker all of Sumter; two grandchildren, Anna Marro and Amber Junkins; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Marro and Ashton Marro.

 

She was preceded in death by a brother, Laverne Baker and a sister, Lois Baker Warren.

 

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was dedicated to her family and loved by all who knew her. 

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Jim Chandler officiating.

 

Burial will be in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Saturday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, 3980 Queen Chapel Road.
