Obituary of Douglas Mack Brown

Douglas Mack Brown, 74, husband of Kathy Rivers Brown, died Sunday, December 2, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey. 

 

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Ben Brown and Placedia McLeod Brown.

 

Mr. Brown was a retired electrician with the Fluor Daniels Corporation.  He was an avid hunter.

 

Surviving are his wife of Sumter; two daughters, Crystal Spangler and Amy Reece (Kevin) both of Sumter:  two brothers, Louie Brown and Edward Brown both of Sumter; two sisters, Elease McCall of Sumter and Odell Shipman of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren, Kayla Bramlette, Chase Bramlette, Emma Reece, Brice Reece; and a special uncle, Charlton McLeod of Sumter.

 

He was preceded in death by a brother, Benjamin Brown and a sister, Ethel Brown.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.

 

The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Thursday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
