Edward Bode 92, husband of Helen Marie Sommers Bode, died Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Palmetto Health Tuomey.

 

Born in Hoboken, NJ, he was a son of the late Edward Bode and Elizabeth Spiegelhalter Bode.

 

Mr. Bode was a retired supervisor with Becton-Dickinson.  He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.

 

Surviving are his wife of Sumter; a brother, William Bode of Sumter; two great-grandchildren, Peter Elkovich and Tiffany Elkovich.

 

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Helen Elkovich and a son, Edward Thomas Bode.

 

Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 P.M. Friday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
