Obituary of Michael Lynn Starnes, Sr.

Michael Lynn Starnes, Sr., 75, widower of Rebeca Bordelon Starnes, died Monday, July 22, 2019, at Prisma Health Greenville Hospital in Greenville, SC.

 

Born in Alexandria, LA, he was a son of the late Arthur Starnes and Mamie Starnes.

 

Mr. Starnes was a retired U.S. Air Force M/Sgt. with 22 years of service and was a veteran of Vietnam.  He also retired from International Paper Company.

 

Survivors include two sons, Michael L. Starnes, Jr. (Terry) of Sumter and Sean Michael Starnes of LA; a daughter, Roxanne Elizabeth Starnes; three sisters, Sandy Hicks, Sue Whitehurst and Norma Sawyer all of LA; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

 

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.  Rev. Steve Miller will officiate.
