Obituary of Len McLeod

Len McLeod, 80, widower of Birdie Connor McLeod, died Monday, September 9, 2019, at his home.

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Dewey McLeod and Ida Atkinson McLeod.

Mr. McLeod was a member of Open Bible Baptist Church.  He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a retired construction worker.

Surviving are three stepsons, Eddie Connor, Jamie Connor both of Sumter and Calvin Connor of TX; two stepdaughters, Sharon Berry of Sumter and Lori Johnson of WI; three brothers, Bill McLeod, Woodrow McLeod and Edward McLeod all of Sumter; a sister, Shirley Jackson of Sumter; five step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday at the Sumter Cemetery with Pastor Brian Magaw officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Thursday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
