Obituary of Judith Elaine Coker

Judith Elaine Coker, 72, died Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born in Turbeville, she was a daughter of the late Dargan Johnnie Coker and Mary Ivanell Webster Coker.

Miss Coker was of the Baptist faith.  She was a retired clerk in the Sumter County Treasurer’s Office. 

Surviving are two sisters, Maxine Harrington (Hugh) and Janet Johnson all of Sumter; three nieces, Suzanne Harrington, Jenna DeVenuto (Matthew) and Amanda Johnson Oppelaar (Isaiah); two great-nieces, Rachel and Ruth Oppelaar; one great-nephew, Isaac Oppelaar; six cousins, Hal Coker (Mandy), Joel Coker (Sharon), Randy Coker (Lisa), Lisa Mellon (Jim), Dawn Rayfield (Charles), Penny Angle (Robert); special friends, Sarah Johnson and Allen Johnson.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Jess Williams and Allen Coker speaking.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
