Obituary of Sadie Scarborough Baker

Sadie Scarborough Baker, 82, widow of Ryan Lorenza Baker, died Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the Gardens at Sumter. She was a daughter of the late Alton and Nezzie Kirkland Scarborough and raised by her grandparents, the late Rev. & Mrs. Joel Kirkland. She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Jamison (Luther) of Sumter; a son, Randall Ryan Baker (Mechelle) of Ocalla, FL; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Baker. She was a retired bookkeeper with Hodges Service Center. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Dr. David Richardson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 140 Poinsett Drive, Sumter, SC 29150.
