Diane Reynolds Galloway,81, widow of William Brooks Galloway, died Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Prisma Tuomey Health.
Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Pleasant G. Reynolds, Sr. and Sarah Ruth Lambert Reynolds.
Mrs. Galloway was a member of Alice Drive Baptist Church having served a number of years on various committees. She started work after graduation from Edmunds High School in 1956 at Williams Furniture Co., later Georgia-Pacific Corp/ Williams Furniture Division. Her latter years were spent working at various state government agencies, having retired from Clemson University Extension. She was a former member of “The Business and Professional Women’s Association”, having served as corresponding secretary.
Surviving are a son, Ron Dennis of Sumter; a daughter, Carol Dennis Mintz (Garry) of Manning; a brother, Everette Reynolds of Olympia, WA; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Clay Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 AM to 11 AM Tuesday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
