Earline “Bud” Marley Wood, 95, widow of Clifford O Wood, died Saturday, February 1, 2020 at a local nursing facility. She was a daughter of the late Lilburn Hodge Barwick.
As a long-time resident of Sumter County, Mrs. Wood was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Barbara Pate of Sumter and Linda Carlson (Larry) of Conway; 2 sisters, Ginger Potter (Dickie) and Audrey Ardis of Paxville; 1 brother, Billy Barwick (Dorothy) of Paxville; 6 grandchildren, Doug (Monica), Bruce (Genny), Eric (Lorena), Jeff (Brenda), Glenn LeNoir and Jill Dunn (Mike);
18 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son in law, Herbert C. Pate.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 PM Friday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
