Lucille “Tiny” Beard Marshall Taylor, 97, widow of Adrian Clyde “A.C.” Taylor, Sr. and Lt. Earl Harrison Marshall, slipped into eternity, Sunday, March 8, 2020, at Sumter Health & Rehabilitation Center. The family thanks these folks at the residence for taking care of our dear mother. Born in Turbeville, she was a daughter of the late Thomas McSwain Beard and Edythe Bateman Beard. After the death of her mother, she and her siblings were raised by her grandmother, Minnie Bateman. Mrs. Taylor was of the Baptist faith. Surviving is a daughter, Patricia Marshall Geddings; two sons, David Taylor and Gerald Taylor (Brenda). She was blessed with a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and other folks who were considered blood relatives. She loved to be around people. Everyday she told ‘someone’ of the goodness of the Lord. We were proud to call her mother. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings: Virginia Brabham, Julian Beard, Ellis Beard, and a little sister Louise who died at age 6; a son, A. C. Taylor, Jr., and a son-in-law, John H.
