Charles Russell Garrett, 93, widower of Lois Cowan Garrett, died Friday, April 24, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Louis Arthur Garrett and Lillie Corbett Garrett.
Mr. Garrett was a retired electrician. He was a U. S. Navy and Coast Guard veteran.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Strauss of Camden; a granddaughter, Lois King; six grandsons; a special friend, Buck Sheorn; a stepdaughter and step-nephew; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was twice married, first to the late Lois Cowan Garrett and then to the late Willie Cox.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Jean Riggott and Charlene Small.
Private graveside services will be held at the Sumter Cemetery.
