Alvia Mae Baker Dority, 100, widow of E. A. Dority, journeyed from this life to her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at National Healthcare Center.
Born in Bishopville, she was a daughter of the late James Addison Baker and Vinie Davis Baker.
Mrs. Dority was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was retired from Pioneer Dress Company.
Surviving are one daughter, Mildred Kirby of Sumter; one brother, Lewis Baker of Bishopville; three sisters, Sara Godwin of Bishopville, Nell Keeley of Sumter, and Ruby Jean Parker of Bethune; a very special friend, Theresa Glass; four grandchildren, Michael H. Kirby, Sheree K. Infinger (Joey), Connie D. Kirby, Michelle “Tootie” Dority; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday in the Sumter Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Holley and Rev. Tommy Atkinson officiating.
