Obituary of Enrico Milano
Please share a memory of Enrico to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Enrico Milano, 85, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 1, 2020, after a short illness. His wife and daughter were by his side.
Rico was born on September 16, 1934, in Marsico Nuovo, Italy, to Antonio Milano and Antonetta Fiore. He served in the federal police for over seven years before immigrating to the United States in 1962. A self-employed stonemason, Rico worked in Massachusetts and Florida before moving to South Carolina in 2006.
Rico had many passions. He enjoyed oil painting. He loved music and dancing. He was an avid gardener, employing the time-honored practice of foodscaping, and he enjoyed cooking for family and friends. He had a big heart and an open door, especially for the neighborhood dogs. Rascal, the beagle, was a special friend to Rico and Rocky.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Janice, of Sumter; daughters Patricia Milano of Needham, MA, and Brunella Milano of Tavares, FL; sisters Jenny, Donata, and Teresa; nephews Tony (Tina) and Tao; nieces Debbie and Sara; grandchildren Luke and Avary; and stepdaughters Joann and Nancy.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Enrico; his stepdaughter, Sue; and his devoted dog, Rocky.
The family thanks the staff of Prisma Health Tuomey Home Hospice for the care and support they provided.
